UK Delivery
We can arrange delivery anywhere in the UK through a trusted courier who regularly transports our trailers. For most customers, it’s the easiest option — especially if you’re based further away or would rather not tow long distances.
We frequently deliver to Scotland, Devon, Cornwall, and Wales, and can provide a quote based on your postcode before confirming your build. The courier will contact you in advance to discuss delivery arrangements, ensuring the process is organised well before completion.
Your trailer will be delivered as soon as it’s finished. We always meet our agreed deadlines, and once the build is complete, delivery can usually be arranged within a few days.
The final balance for the trailer must be paid before it is released for delivery or collection.
We recommend a video call or in-person viewing before final payment to confirm everything meets your expectations.
If you’d like to view in person, we’re happy to pick you up and drop you off at our local train station so you don’t have to drive.
Payment for delivery can be made to Westwood Conversions in advance or in cash to the courier upon delivery, whichever you prefer.
International Delivery
We’re able to supply trailers for export and regularly receive enquiries from customers overseas. While Westwood Conversions now trades as a family-run sole business, our team has previous experience supplying trailers internationally, including builds that were successfully shipped to Bermuda via New York.
For international customers, we can arrange delivery to a UK port or freight forwarding depot using our trusted courier. From there, your chosen shipping company handles the transport and import process.
We don’t personally manage international freight or customs paperwork, but we’ll ensure your trailer is ready for loading and export once complete.
All trailers are built to UK 240V electrical standards, although we can fit EU or US-style sockets on request. Please note that internal wiring remains to UK specification unless agreed otherwise before the build begins.
The balance for the trailer and delivery to the docks must be paid in full before release.
All export paperwork and booking confirmations must be provided to us in advance so that our courier can deliver directly to the correct port or depot and hand over the trailer without delay.
It’s the buyer’s responsibility to organise:
- International shipping from the UK port or depot
- Any export paperwork, customs clearance, and import duties
- Compliance with local electrical or road standards in your country
Once everything is arranged, we’ll coordinate with your courier or shipping agent to ensure a smooth handover at the port.
Delivery FAQ
Can I collect my trailer myself?
Yes — you’re welcome to collect directly from our workshop in Sheffield once the balance is cleared. We’ll help you hook up and carry out basic checks before you leave. In fact, we much prefer customers to collect themselves; that way, we are able to walk you through hitching your trailer in person, ensuring you’re safe and sound to tow. And there’s no better sight than seeing the looks on our customers’ faces when they see their trailers completed for the first time.
Can you deliver anywhere in the UK?
Yes — we can arrange delivery nationwide, including Scotland, Devon, Cornwall, and Wales. Our courier will contact you directly to discuss dates and delivery arrangements.
How soon after completion can delivery be arranged?
Delivery can usually be arranged as soon as the trailer is finished, depending on courier availability and distance. We always meet our agreed build deadlines.
Can I view my trailer before paying the balance?
Yes — we recommend either a video call or an in-person viewing before making final payment. We can also collect you from the local train station if you’d prefer not to drive.
Can you ship trailers outside the UK?
Yes — we can deliver to UK ports or freight forwarding depots for international export. You’ll need to organise the shipping and paperwork directly with your chosen agent.
Do you handle export paperwork or customs?
No — all export paperwork, customs clearance, and import duties are the buyer’s responsibility. We’ll simply ensure the trailer is ready for transport and deliver it to the agreed UK location.
Can you fit EU or US sockets?
Yes — we can swap sockets for EU or US types on request, but the trailer remains wired to UK 240V standards unless otherwise agreed before the build.
When is the balance due?
The balance must be paid within one week of completion, unless other arrangements have been agreed before the build begins.
The trailer will not be released for collection or delivery until the final balance has been paid in full.
